Title: Latinos and GOP
Published: Editorialcartoonists.com
Date: Dec. 21, 2010
About this cartoon: The Republican Party seems to be doing all it can to alienate the nation's fastest-growing voting bloc, Latinos, embracing the harsh Arizona law that could lead to citizenship-checks of all brown-skinned people and turning a cold shoulder to the DREAM Act, intended to ease the path for foreign-born college graduates brought to the U.S. as children. In California, the perception of anti-Hispanic Republican sentiments helped lead to a Democratic sweep of every state office in November 2010.
