About this cartoon: The very tardy, miserably cobbled-together California budget could close a multi-billion budget gap... but only if state voters ratify it by way of five ballot measures in an upcoming election. the governor is pushing for all these to pass, but polls show voters are opposing all of them.
Notable: This is my first cartoon ever drawn specifically for the Los Angeles Times (after months of trying to get into their pages with something other than a reprint).
