About this cartoon: The Palestinians held a free election, and the voters elected Hamas, a group designated as terrorists by most of the world and a group dedicated to the destruction of Israel. It wasn't necessarily a vote "for" Hamas as much as a vote against Fatah, the corrupt party that had always led the Palestinians up to this point.
