About this cartoon: A group of pro-Palestinian peace activists —mixed with Islamic activists— sailed a flotilla of aid to Gaza, despite Israeli warnings that it would not let the ships land for fear of arms smuggling. Israeli commandos stormed a Turkish ship and were immediately set upon by armed activists; when the dust cleared there were ten dead on the ship and many soldiers injured. The world seethed at Israel and condemned it, calling for an end to the Gaza blockade. Given that Israel knew the flotilla was coming, and with a clear political agenda, could they have not found another way to handle things? As it turned out, Israel once again found a way to come off looking terrible in the eyes of the world, even if it had legitimate security reasons for its actions.
