About this cartoon: Two (endangered) Southern California mountain lions were unexpectedly found dead, and autopsies revealed they had died from household rat poison. The poison had worked its way up the food chain, concentrating in the livers of the coyotes that ate poisoned rats and which were in turned eaten by the mountain lions.
