About this cartoon: After years of daily rocket launches against Israeli civilians by Hamas and its supporters, a lull (mostly) during a ceasefire and then a resumption as the ceasefire ended, Israel attacked with a vengeance. It began days of air assaults, smashing Hamas facilities but also killing hundreds, including Palestinian civilians, and massed troops and tanks near the Gaza border for possible further action.
