About this cartoon: A supposed network of solid financing for charities headed by respected financial whiz Bernard Madoff turned out to be a ponzi, or pyramid, scheme, bilking investors out of billions of dollars. Famous celebrities were among those ripped off, and Jewish charities were particularly hard hit, with some of them wiped out financially.
